About Us

Experience and innovation for education

We promote talents and life skills

At The Creating Center School, we believe that learning should be meaningful, engaging, and responsive to the needs of each child. We combine the best of research-based practices with a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to explore, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Our spaces and programs are designed to support different learning styles and provide opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and real-world experiences.

As an IB Candidate School, we place inquiry, conceptual understanding, and the development of the whole child at the center of our approach. Students are supported by caring educators who serve as guides and mentors, helping them develop independence, responsibility, and the habits needed to become confident, self-directed learners.

In the elementary years, students engage in hands-on, inquiry-based learning that balances foundational skills with opportunities for exploration and reflection. In the middle years, learners apply their knowledge across disciplines and tackle authentic challenges that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and global awareness.

In high school, students follow a personalized pathway toward earning a fully accredited U.S. high school diploma. They benefit from a flexible learning model that combines independent study, teacher support, and access to advanced coursework, allowing them to pursue their interests and prepare for university studies in the United States, Canada, Europe, or wherever their aspirations may lead them.

At every stage, our goal is to nurture curious minds, compassionate hearts, and capable young people who are prepared not only for academic success, but for a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Applying Our Pillars in Every Learning Experience

At The Creating Center, learning is rooted in strong relationships and meaningful experiences. Our qualified teachers lead each classroom with intentional, hands-on instruction, creating engaging environments where students are actively involved in their learning. Through inquiry, collaboration, and personalized support, educators guide students in ways that honor their individual strengths and developmental needs. In our youngest grades, additional support staff help ensure that every child receives the attention and care needed to thrive.

Our five pillars—Individuality, Learning Agility, Wholesomeness, Community, and Love of Nature—are woven into everyday experiences rather than taught in isolation. Whether students are conducting investigations, collaborating on projects, practicing healthy habits, engaging in service, or exploring the natural world, teachers intentionally help them make connections between what they learn and how they live.

By combining academic rigor with social-emotional learning, creativity, and real-world experiences, we strive to develop curious, compassionate, and capable young people who are prepared to contribute meaningfully to their communities and an ever-changing world.

How Our Teachers Bring Our Pillars to Life

School

Encouraging Self-Expression and Individual Growth

We believe every child is unique and deserves to be seen, understood, and supported as an individual learner. We recognize that students develop at different paces, learn in different ways, and possess different strengths, interests, and passions. Some learners demonstrate early talents in areas such as the arts, music, athletics, leadership, mathematics, or creativity, while others may require additional support, time, or guidance to strengthen essential academic, social, or emotional skills.

The focus of this pillar is to identify each learner’s strengths, needs, interests, and potential as early as possible and to create meaningful learning experiences that support their personal growth. Through flexible, student-centered approaches, we strive to design learning environments that nurture each child’s individuality while helping them develop confidence, purpose, resilience, and a lifelong love for learning.

Empowering Independent and Critical Thinkers

We believe that one of the most important skills children can develop is the capacity to learn independently, think critically, and respond with confidence to an ever-changing world.

Through inquiry, reflection, problem-solving, and meaningful real-world experiences, students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning journey and become active participants in their growth. We foster curiosity, resilience, creativity, and initiative so that learners not only acquire knowledge, but also develop the confidence and flexibility to apply it in new and unfamiliar situations.

Our goal is to help children become lifelong learners who are capable of thinking for themselves, embracing challenges, and shaping their own paths with purpose and independence.

Educating Beyond Academics

We believe education must nurture the whole child — mind, body and spirit. In a world filled with both opportunity and challenge, children need the ability to understand themselves, manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and face difficulties with resilience and confidence.

Through meaningful conversations, reflection, community experiences, and daily interactions, we intentionally cultivate emotional intelligence, empathy, honesty, perseverance, respect for diversity, and strong personal values. We encourage students to develop healthy habits, self-awareness, grit, and the ability to navigate challenges with balance and integrity.

Our goal is to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment where children feel valued, connected, and empowered to grow into compassionate, emotionally healthy, and responsible individuals.

School

Building a Culture of Collaboration and Leadership

We believe that meaningful learning happens within strong, caring communities where every individual feels seen, valued, and connected. We intentionally foster a sense of belonging, empathy, collaboration, and shared responsibility so that students learn not only to grow as individuals, but also to contribute positively to the world around them.

Through shared experiences, teamwork, service, and thoughtful conversations, learners develop an understanding of diverse perspectives, cultures, and life experiences. We encourage children to recognize that not everyone has access to the same opportunities and to approach others with compassion, respect, fairness, and a sense of civic responsibility.

Our goal is to nurture socially aware, kind, and ethically grounded individuals who understand the importance of community, human connection, and using their voice and actions to create a more just and compassionate world.

Creating Meaningful Connections with the Natural World

We foster a deep connection to the natural world and a lifelong respect for all living things. We believe that children develop a greater sense of responsibility, wonder, and balance when they are meaningfully connected to nature and understand their role within it.

Environmental awareness is intentionally integrated into learning experiences across subjects and daily school life. Students are encouraged to explore how nature, science, sustainability, food systems, society, and human well-being are all interconnected. Through hands-on experiences, outdoor learning, inquiry, and reflection, children develop both appreciation for the environment and an understanding of the importance of protecting it.

Our goal is to nurture thoughtful, environmentally conscious individuals who value simplicity, sustainability, and the beauty of the natural world, and who are prepared to care for the Earth with empathy, responsibility, and action.
